Virtual Practice in HIV Management Through Simulated Scenarios
You will interact with virtual patients and virtual physicians as you make treatment decisions, learn what optimal decisions should be, and review data supporting those choices. One virtual clinician is a primary care provider with whom you will be collaborating, while the other is an expert in managing infectious dieases.
This virtual activity provides dynamic content, divided among four distinct clinical scenarios.
Topics covered include:
- Assess patients newly diagnosed with HIV and the antiretroviral treatment (ART) options that may improve their long-term management and outcomes.
- Optimize the use of ART in patients with HIV and 1 or more comorbidities.
- Incorporate antiretroviral regimens, practices, and procedures that have the propensity to improve disparities in HIV care.
- Incorporate ART regimens and best practices that can improve patient adherence to prescribed therapy.
- Implement interprofessional practices and procedures that may improve the overall health and management of patients with HIV.
